About Our Games

For children and adults of all abilities, the natural structure and routine found in game playing provides perfect opportunities for practicing skills, gaining experiences, connecting with others and having fun.

When I began creating games it was to gain the interest of children and adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). I noticed there were common barriers getting in the way. For some, games were perceived as too difficult, too long or there was too much pressure in taking a turn. With this in mind, I strive to create games that are:

  • Highly visual

  • Easy to understand

  • Easy to learn

  • Quick to play (You can always play it again!)

  • Fun for all

Additional priorities included:

  • A high level of engagement - with little down time waiting for turns

  • Fostering connections between players

  • Pairing text with pictures/photos - to naturally foster vocabulary and reading and also to benefit English Language Learners (ELL)

  • Multiple levels of play - for the enjoyment of a variety of players (from basic to strategic)

  • Use of common game-playing skills and vocabulary - to provide a foundation for playing a variety of traditional and commercial games

As you play with Inclusible Games, we hope you, too, will notice a positive difference in the level of comfort and enjoyment for players. We would love to hear about your experiences!

Some Game Descriptions

DIS-CARD

DIS-CARD is a fun game of chance and strategy that you play with standard playing cards. The object is to be the first player to discard (or get rid of) all of your cards. Throughout the game, players take turns choosing the card everyone must discard. Leading and making connections with fellow players is built in to every turn!

DIS-CARD is a great introduction to the language and concepts of traditional card games. We’ve made the level I game available to all for FREE through our FREE DOWNLOADS!

Memory Match Games

As we play with older kids and adults, we understand simple fun does not have to be childish! Our memory match games are made from colorful, original photographs. They include instructions for 3 levels of play including traditional, modified, and face-up.

Sometimes players find comfort in playing games they already know. We currently have six games to choose from so you can play the same game with different photos and themes.

We’ve learned that inclusion is fun and easy with the right games!

Coin Sorting & Counting

This is not a game but rather a joint activity. The Sort & Count Coins set supports independence and working with others on a shared goal.

These guides are great for early learners, people with attention or memory challenges, those working on fine motor skills or math concepts, and anyone interested in simple social activities.

They are perfect to use with coin-collecting fundraiser events!

Stop & Go

Stop & Go is an action game played like the traditional game of Red Light Green Light. As players run, gallop or hop towards the leader, they engage in a fun, physical activity with peers. Additional learning through play can include: motor planning, language skills, attending to a distant person, and experiencing the power of one’s own words.

And of course, we have game testers!
