Because I Said So! is an inclusive-play game. It was originally designed to support emerging language skills by enabling players to learn the power of their words in a playful and engaging way. Players in the role of 'director' read picture-word cards with directive words or phrases (such as ‘jump’, ‘go’, ‘dance with me’) to be acted out by players in the role of 'actor'. This dynamic creates wonderful opportunities for typical and non-typical language learners to have fun together and understand the connections between words and actions. This is an ideal game for kids and adults who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

The game box includes 28 picture-word cards, 4 "I'm finished/I'm done" cards for players to end the game on their own terms, 4 additional blank cards to add your own meaningful and fun ideas, instructions for play, a list of possible directives, and a data collection sheet.
